OKWIT awards annual scholarships ranging from $500-2,500 to empower women to pursue and complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in STEM fields (science, technology, education, and math), as well as to reduce the financial barrier that traditionally accompanies higher education.
Scholarships have been an essential part of our mission since our incorporation in 2016, and to date, we are proud to have awarded over $20,000 to Oklahoma women in STEM.

The 2024 Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) scholarship application is now open!
JRF Scholars receive grants of up to $35,000 over four years to supplement the financial aid they receive from their colleges or universities. In addition, Scholars receive extensive support services, including career guidance and internship placement, and attend JRF’s annual multi-day "Mentoring and Leadership Conference" in New York City and other regional events throughout the year.

The Art of Frog Eating: Time Management & Setting Priorities, Jacqueline Hirlinger: In this breakout session, we will explore the essential skills of time management and setting priorities. The metaphorical "frog" represents those challenging tasks we tend to procrastinate on. Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships - $10,000 - 5 Awards (Deadline: December 5, 2023)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (kindergarten through graduate school) in the US.
B) Have demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services.

SUVCW Scholarships - $2,500 - 2 Awards (Deadline: March 31, 2024)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Rank in the upper one-fourth of their high school graduating class and have a record of performance in
activities in school and in the community.

National Eagle Scout Association Scholarships - $10,000 - 32 Awards (Deadline: January 31, 2024)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be a senior in high school through their junior year in an undergraduate program or by the halfway point of
their associate degree program or skilled trade program.
B) Be a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be a current AQHYA or AQHA member.
B) Be in high school, college, or university.

JHS Seniors:
The Oklahoma State Daughters of the American Revolution(OSDAR) would like to extend opportunity for you to apply for their scholarships and the National Daughters of the American Revolution scholarships. Over 26 total scholarships available and only two require applicant to be son/daughter of DAR member.
The OSDAR scholarships are available to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, creed, or area of study. The applicant does not have to be a member of DAR to apply. Applications submitted for an Oklahoma State DAR scholarship must be submitted through an Oklahoma DAR Chapter.
If you want to apply for any of their scholarships you can contact Joni Mabry at mabryj@prodigy.net so your application can be submitted through the Samuel King OSDAR Chapter. The due date for the OSDAR Scholarship is January 31, 2024. JHS Juniors: THe Oklahoma City Community Foundation has a scholarship that you can apply for as a Junior. It is a 3000.00 for first generation college students.
Requirements:
GPA Top 50% of class
HIgh School member of the Central Oklahoma Guidance Counselor Network(JHS IS A member)
YOu will be first generation college student.
A little clarification on definition of first generation. First of all your siblings do not count as they are same generation as you. Only looking at Parents and grandparents. I would say if either parents or grandparents have a degree you do not qualify but if parent went to college but did not get degree you would still qualify for this scholarship
