Last evening, Jones High School was honored to induct more than twenty new NHS members. Chapter membership recognizes students for their accomplishments and challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. JHS seniors who fulfilled the required volunteer hours and academic criteria were awarded cords and medals to wear at graduation.

Applications for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame | Gaylord-Pickens Museum Teen Board are open!
Teen Board is a statewide board open to high school students, grades 9th - 12th in the Fall of 2024. Teen Board offers unique opportunities for students to meet extraordinary Oklahomans while engaging in interview and resume skills, committee leadership, fundraising, financial literacy, and career development. Teen Board meets once a month from August to March. Meetings are on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame (Zoom options are available), and dinner is provided at every meeting.

Congratulations to JHS Senior Ripken Wallace and JHS Junior Jair Quinonez for taking home bronze medals at the USAO Scholastic Meet yesterday! Ripken placed in Chemistry and Jair placed in Anatomy.

YOu will have to schedule an appointment for one of the iguana nights to go over with parent to complete enrollment. Pre-enrollment for EOC Tech is wrapping up this week. Iguana Nights will be held on April 2nd, 11th, and 16th at 5pm and 6:30pm. The link is available here for signup. New students, including current Explorers, are expected to attend one Iguana Night session. Current full-time students are exempt from Iguana Night attendance. Future Explorers (Current 9th graders) are also exempt from Iguana Night.

Good afternoon! Pre-enrollment at EOC Tech Center is wrapping up. The next step for potential new students will be attendance at Iguana Night! Please join us for a session on April 2nd, April 11th, or April 16th. You can choose either a 5pm or 6:30pm session. To sign up for an Iguana Night session please follow the link below, and select the date/time that works best for you. Only one ticket is needed per potential new student (parent(s)/guardian(s) are included in the student ticket).
For CURRENT EOC Tech full-time students: please turn your enrollment paperwork into Student Services. Current full-time students are exempt from Iguana Night attendance. Future Explorers (Current 9th graders) are also exempt from Iguana Night. Your HS Counselor will place you in the Explore session that works with your schedule.

April marks the start of State Testing at JHS. All Juniors (and any Seniors who did not test last year) are required to test.


⚾️SCHEDULE UPDATE⚾️ Tonight's baseball game has been cancelled and tomorrow a double header will be played at home.

On Saturday, April 13th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.., in the Allied Health Building at OSU-OKC (440 N. Portland Ave. OKC, OK 73107), Congresswoman Bice will be hosting a Service Academy Day. This event is for students 7th grade and older who live in Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District and may be interested in attending a United States Service Academy. Attached to this e-mail is a flyer announcing the event.
Service Academy Day will feature representatives from the various service academies who will give an overview of their academy, the application process, and answer questions from students and parents. This is an excellent opportunity for interested students to learn more about the United States Service Academies.
