John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund for Art Education
To create opportunities in the art profession, Anna Lee Stacey established a scholarship program that encourages students to pursue a career in the art industry. This scholarship is open to all students ages 18–35 who aim to make art their profession. Courageous Persuaders Competition
The Detroit Auto Dealers Association is passionate about preventing underage drinking and texting while driving. Their Courageous Persuaders Competition encourages high school students to create a 30-second television commercial about the dangers of underage drinking or texting while driving. Students’ videos will be judged by middle school classrooms for persuasiveness. All high school students are eligible to apply and may submit more than one commercial.

Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, young people spend an average of 7.5 hours a day consuming media. While it can be challenging to unplug from all of the electronics, taking a break from technology can be healthy for the mind and body. Digitally Responsible is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students who can describe what they would rather do to replace spending time with technology.

ABPA Harrington-Arthur Memorial Scholarship
The American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA) prevents dangerous bacteria, chemicals and other harmful agents from entering local water supplies. The association would like to award scholarships to students who seek to better understand this process. Congratulations to Caitlyn Coffey! She was awarded the Kidizenship award sponsored by the Moran Family from the Oklahoma Institute Child Advocacy. She was awarded this for her 4H Project Heartwarming lap blankets . She started this project in the 7th grade. She made 50 blankets and took to the Harrah Nursing Home. She then took to a foster home and the last two years she has been taking these blankets to the Ronald McDonald House. We would like to thank the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy and Mr. Joe Dorman for coming in and recognizing Caitlyn.

All sophomores will meet with Mr. Moses on Thursday January 10 during 5th hour in the commons. Students will receive their PREACT scores and Mr. Moses will do a broad overview explanation of results.

Senior Day is February 19 9 am to noon in the Fine Arts building of the Warner Campus. They will be doing campus tours, free tshirt and lunch. This is an opportunity to visit with professors, coaches and campus organizations.
