ACT - www.act.org
The ACT® test is the nation’s most popular college entrance exam accepted and valued by all universities and colleges in the United States. The ACT is based on what students learn in high school and provides personalized information about their strengths for education and career planning. Find everything you need to know about registration, test prep, scores and more.
The ACT College and Career Readiness Benchmarks are scores on the ACT subject-area tests that represent the level of achievement required for students to have the best academic experience at the college level.
Educators have come to rely on the ACT Benchmarks as a means of predicting college success and as a guide to inform curriculum decisions.
Students at Jones take a pre-act in October of their sophomore year. This score does not count for college acceptance; however it will be accepted for concurrent enrollment during their Junior year. This test will be given at no charge to students.
Students will take a State ACT in the spring of their junior year at no cost to the student. This test will be accepted by colleges and for scholarships.
Students can sign up for the act at any time by going to www.act.org
Students who qualify for free and reduced lunches can request a fee waiver once during their junior year and once during their senior year from the counselor.
